Sometimes an evening walk doesn't need to be more than that: walking quietly, looking, breathing and enjoying. In Bruges — where water, stone and air have met for centuries — it feels as if every street whispers its own story.
During this walk, I wandered along quiet canals, dramatic cloudscapes and bridges that become even more beautiful in the soft evening light. An old windmill, a historic inland vessel and the gently rippling water gave the route an almost timeless atmosphere.
It was not a quest for spectacular moments, but for small details: structures, reflections, lines and quiet beauty. Just the kind of moments that I enjoy most as a photographer — pure, honest and unadorned. Bruges then shows itself at its best: calm, atmospheric and authentic.
