On a cold evening in December 2023, Tielt was surprised by a thin layer of snow. It was only a brief moment, but just enough to give the city a different appearance. Before the snow could melt, I set out with my camera.
In the soft evening light, everything took on a special calm. The squares, the paths, and the facades of the centre lay still and almost timeless. The snow muffled the sound, giving each step and each corner its own atmosphere. Occasionally, a passerby crossed my path, like a small splash of colour in the winter scene.
It was a short walk, but one that perfectly showed how beautiful Tielt becomes when evening falls and the snow momentarily slows down the city.
